Borussia Dortmund in talks for €42M Barcelona star
Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona are in negotiations for the transfer of Malcom according to Goal. The deal would is set to cost the German giants a sum of €42 million for the Brazilian as per the report.
The former Bordeaux winger joined the Catalan giants last season for a fee of €41 million after snubbing AS Roma in the final minute. He has 4 years left and also a release clause of €180 million in his current contract with Barca.
However, the Spanish club is willing to accept €42 million for the Brazilian. The sale would see them make a profit of €1 million – jut a year after signing him.
Barcelona snapped Malcom from AS Roma after it was revealed that he was very close to moving to Italy. However, the winger has struggled for game time at Camp Nou and managed to make 24 appearances in all competitions.
Malcom was expected to be one of the players who would leave the club in the transfer window. But, there were no significant offers for him and thus he was involved in Barca’s pre-season games.
It seems things could change for Malcom as he is likely to get a move to BVB and get more playing opportunities at the Signal Iduna Park. Dortmund are famous to develop young players into world-class talents and the Brazilian could be the latest one.
Manchester United and Manchester City will be keeping an eye on this transfer as the signing of Malcom could help them last Jadon Sancho.

While Goal aren’t the most reliable source out there, this transfer makes sense for all parties involved. The player wants to leave, Barca want him sold and BVB want a replacement for Pulisic.
