Chelsea are aware of interest in Joao Pedro, but have no plans to sell the Barcelona target regardless of the bid this summer.
Barcelona are keen on signing Joao Pedro this summer, and reports suggest Deco is on his way to London to hold talks with the Chelsea man’s agents. The Catalan side’s sporting director is pushing for the Brazilian forward, who has impressed since joining from Brighton & Hove Albion.
They see him as the ideal replacement for Robert Lewandowski, who is leaving at the end of the season. The Polish star has not been offered a new deal and is in talks to join Al-Hilal or Chicago Fire.
Barcelona switched attention to the Chelsea man after Atletico Madrid slapped a stunning asking price on Julian Alvarez. The Argentine is valued at โฌ125 million, while PSG are also looking to sign him this summer.
The Catalan side have been chasing the former Manchester City man for the last few seasons and were also interested in signing him before he joined Atletico Madrid.
Chelsea unwilling to listen to offers for Barcelona target Joao Pedro
Chelsea see Joao Pedro as a key part of their squad and do not have any pressure to sell him. They are unwilling to entertain any offer for the forward this summer, regardless of the profit they could be making on the Brazilian.
The former Brighton man has scored 23 goals across all competitions since joining the Blues, including 15 goals in the Premier League. The 24-year-old is aware of the interest from Barcelona, but is not thinking of a move away.
The Brazilian is happy with Stamford Bridge and sees his future at the Premier League side. He previously admitted his like for the Catalan side because of Ronaldinho and Neymar, and is keen on playing in the UEFA Champions League too.
Chelsea are set to miss out of the elite European competition, as they have slipped to ninth in the Premier League table and would need to finish sixth, and hope that Aston Villa win the UEFA Europa League if they want to play in the competition next season.
