Barcelona target surprise move for Manchester City star

Barcelona are considering a move for Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte. The Frenchman will turn 26 in May and he is reportedly one of the most liked players by the club’s hierarchy.

The Catalans are hopefully that City’s appeal to Court of Arbitration of Sports is dismissed, which would make it easier for them to bring the former Bilbao defender to Camp Nou.

Barcelona’s former manager Pep Guardiola has groomed Laporte into one of the best centre backs in the world. He is very comfortable with playing the back from the back and his style would suit him at the Nou Camp.
