Gary Neville’s hilarious comment after Sadio Mane’s goal is ruled out by VAR
Man Utd news: Gary Neville could not hold back after Sadio Mane’s goal was ruled out by VAR against Manchester United. The Liverpool star had the ball in the back of the net but VAR ruled that he controlled the ball with his hand before scoring.
The Red Devils legend was on Sky Sports when he made a cheeky comment about VAR. Neville claimed that the technology was brought in just to help Manchester United beat Liverpool. He said:
โThe reason VAR was brought in was for Manchester United to beat Liverpool.โ
Neville also sent out a tweet to make things worse for the Liverpool fans:
Manchester United were leading 1-0 at half time thanks to a goal by Marcus Rashford. The goal was given despite VAR checking for a foul on Divock Origi by Victor Lindelof in the buildup.
Liverpool did manage to leave Old Trafford with a point after Adam Lallana scored late in the game to end it 1-1.
