West Ham to sign £45M worth Bundesliga striker
West Ham United are set to sign Sebastien Haller from Eintracht Frankfurt. The striker is on his way to London for his medical according to the German club.
The Hammers are set to pay £45 million for the French striker who scored 19 goals last season. Haller was used sparingly at the Bundesliga side as Luka Jovic was in red-hot form.
West Ham were keen on signing Maxi Gomez and also had a bid accepted for him. However, the striker was desperate to join Valencia as they had qualified for the UEFA Champions League.
Moreover, the Hammers were in dire need of a striker as Marko Arnautovic left the club to join Shanghai SIPG. The Premier League side were furious with the striker for forcing the move but the Austrian claims that circumstances at the club forced him out.
Adding to Arnautovic’s exit, West Ham released Andy Carroll this summer while also selling Lucas Perez to Deportivo Alavés for around €2.5 million.

Manuel Pellegrini’s men are in China for the Asia Trophy and will need to complete the deal for Haller in the next 48 hours if they want him to play in their next match.
The Hammers face Manchester City tomorrow in the semi-final and will face Newcastle United or Wolverhampton in the 3rd place play-off or the final.
