And it’s official! Marouane Fellaini has signed a new two-year contract at Manchester United.
The Belgian’s current deal was set to expire tomorrow and he was free to join any club who was interested in him.
He was also keen on leaving the club as he was desperate to be a starter at a club. However, he has now made a dramatic u-turn and resigned with the Old Trafford side!

Here’s how Twitter reacted to the news:
Mourinho…
Give me ten pieces of wood and Fellaini and I will give you infinite woods— Pâ„¢ (@SemperFiArsenal) June 29, 2018
No world cup game, then this. This day couldn't get sadder

The replies to United's Tweet confirming Fellaini's deal make interesting reading on a quiet Friday afternoon.

This is the worst news I’ve seen in a long time pertaining to our club…

Fellaini (along with Mata) is the last remaining relic of the Moyes reign.
The club will not get out of the banter era till the 2 leave.
Full cleansing needed.— Rameez (@Sychlops) June 29, 2018

Cannot get my head around the Fellaini extension. A limited player and a half decent Plan B, who somehow managed to play the club into this. Probably stops the arrival of a better player and suggests United's style won't change. Ridiculous, all told.
