Sources: Jose Mourinho on Tottenham radar
Tottenham news: Jose Mourinho is looking for a return to the Premier League and Tottenham might be his next club. Spurs have reached out to him and a poor start to the season under Mauricio Pochettino.
Nitwik Football sources at Tottenham have reported that the club could make a managerial change in the next month or so if the results do not improve. They add that the first time the question of sacking Pochettino came after the 7-2 drubbing at the hands of Bayern Munich.
The 3-0 loss over the weekend at Brighton and Hove made things worse for the manager. There is also a belief among the players that the manager could be sacked in this International break but our source has ruled out the possibility of that happening.
Should the results improve by the festive period, Pochettino will be at the club until the end of the season regardless of what happens in early 2020. Daniel Levy is closely monitoring things at the club once again and will not be hesitant to make the change if required.
Talks with Mourinho have not entered the negotiation stages but it was just an approach to know if the former Chelsea and Manchester United manager would be interested in the job.
Tottenham are not the only side interested in Mourinho. Arsenal are also in the running but are yet to make an approach.
