Thiago Silva has decided to join Chelsea this summer. Telefoot are reporting that the Brazilian will be putting pen to the deal at Stamford Bridge this week.
The centre-back announced his decision to leave PSG after the Champions League final last night. Thiago Silva’s contract the the Ligue 1 champions ended last night and he is now a free agent.
Chelsea have reportedly offered Thiago Silva a 2-year contract despite him turning 36 next month. Other reports suggest the he has been offered a one year deal with an optional year.
Thiago Silva has an offer on the table from Fiorentina as well. He has, however, rebuffed reports that he has signed a deal with them. He said:
“Now I have to look for a new team. Fiorentina? Reports of an agreement are not true. My agent is talking to them and other clubs but nothing is signed yet. Tomorrow or the day after tomorrow I will have to look at the offers and make the best decision for me and my family.”
Apart from Thiago Silva, Chelsea are also targeting Malang Sarr on a free transfer.
