Slovenia 1-1 Denmark – Player Ratings and Match Report

We have our first draw of EURO 2024 with Slovenia holding on Denmark at the Stuttgart Arena. The two sides had enough chances to win the match but failed to get the finishing touch.

Christian Eriksen opened the scoring in the match in the 17th minute with a well-taken goal. He gave Jan Oblak no chance to close down and eased the ball into the back of the net.

The scoreline remained the same and the Danish side went into the break ahead. They dominated the half with 70% possession and 8 shots, while restricting their opponents to just three shots, but none coming close to threatening Kasper Schmeichel.

Denmark continued dominating the possession in the second half, but Slovenia were making the the most of theirs and had as many shots as their opponents. Benjamin Sesko managed to smash a shot off the post with his weak foot, as they slowly got close to getting a goal back.

Erik Janza finally managed to get the ball into the back of the net with a left-footed shot from outside the box in the 77th minute. The two sides got close to getting a second in the game, but failed to get it and had to settle for a point each at EURO 2024.
