Romania 3-0 Ukraine – Player Ratings and Match Report

Romania have stunned the world of football with a thumping 3-0 win over Ukraine in their EURO 2024 opener. They scored two absolute belters, with the first one easily the goal of the tournament so far, before tapping in the third.

Nicolae Stanciu made the most of a fumble at the back and scored a stunning goal after Dennis Man laid it off near the edge of the box. The shot curled into the Real Madrid star’s goal, leaving him no chance to get to the ball.

Răzvan Marin made it 2-0 just 8 minutes after the break and that saw them take complete control of the match. Ukraine were unable to do much and were punished by their opponents swiftly.

Things got worse for Ukraine minutes later as Denis Drăguş tapped in from a couple of yards out just 4 minutes later. Romania were in cruise control of the EURO 2024 match and held on until the final whistle.
