Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal could be heading back to La Liga if reports in the Spanish media are to believed.

He was also often used as a centre-back by Arsene Wenger, a testament to his versatility and willingness to adapt to the team’s needs.
New Arsenal manager Unai Emery though might not be willing to let go of Monreal considering Arsenal do not really have a reserve aside from Kolasinac.

Arsenal and Sociedad have conducted business successfully in the past, with the likes of Fran Merida and Carlos Vela involved in deals between the two sides.
Monreal’s contract expires at the end of the next season and Arsenal might want to offload him now instead of letting him go for free next year.
