Cesc Fabregas reveals he rejected Real Madrid twice
Real Madrid News: Cesc Fabregas has revealed that he turned down a move to Real Madrid twice in his career. The AS Monaco star was talking to Spanish publication, AS when he explained his decision to reject Los Blancos.
The Spaniard claims that Madrid were keen on signing him when he was at Arsenal. Fabregas recalls that he was 18 at that time but stayed put because of Arsene Wenger.
He said: โThey called me more than once or twice. The first time I was very young. I was 18 and they offered me a big salary, but I felt like I belonged at Arsenal. Wenger had bet the farm on me. I couldn’t leave.โ

โIn any case, I’ll always be grateful to Madrid for the way they treated me. When I was 23 I had a serious calf injury and they sent me a really nice message.โ
โI’m grateful for their interest in me but I always dreamed of playing for Barcelona and if I felt that way it was for a reason. It all worked out pretty well for me.โ
Fabregas did move back to Spain for some time when he joined Barcelona but was straight back in the Premier League with Chelsea in 3 years. He’s now left the London side and moved to AS Monaco where he is trying to get the side back to their best.
