Former Manchester City star undergoing medical at Tottenham

Joe Hart is undergoing a medical at Tottenham according to Simon Stone. The goalkeeper was a free agent after running down his contract at Burnley.

Tottenham let go of Michel Vorm at the end of the 2019/20 season and Jose Mourinho was reportedly keen on getting another keeper swinged. Hugo Lloris and Paulo Gazzaniga are already at the club and will continue to be the 1st and 2nd choice as per Evening Standard.

Jose Mourinho wants a homegrown player as the 3rd choice keeper and with Hart available on a free transfer, the manager reportedly opted for him. Fabrizio Romano has added that Spurs are also looking to extend the contract of Hugo Lloris.

Joe Hart has won the Premier League with Manchester City and was one of their vital players in the 2011/12 season. However, after the arrival of Pep Guardiola, the Englishman was shipped out on loan to Torino and West Ham United for 2 seasons.

The goalkeeper them moved to Burnley for an undisclosed fee and was their #1 for some time. However, Tom Heaton and Nick Pope took their opportunities and Joe Hart was back on the bench.
