Manchester United vs Brentford Player Ratings and Match Report
Manchester United have ended their winless run and picked up all three points against Brentford at Old Trafford. Erik ten Hag’s side managed to come from behind to win 2-1 on Saturday.
Brentford could not continue their hot streak of scoring in the opening minutes of the game and had to wait until the end of the first half to take the lead against Manchester United. In the final seconds of injury time, the London side took the lead through Ethan Pinnock, who managed to run away from his marker – Diogo Dalot – and score from a free header.
Manchester United fans were not happy at half-time, but the atmosphere changed quickly after the restart. Alejandro Garnacho pulled them level within 2 minutes of the second half and it was one-way traffic for the home side.
Rasmus Hojlund made it 2-1 in the 62nd minute after a cheeky through ball from Bruno Fernandes released him into the box. The young striker made no mistake and helped his side take the lead in the league for the first time since September.
Ten Hag’s side managed to keep hold of their lead and, walk away with all three points, and move up to 10th in the Premier League table for the time being.
