Manchester United submit final bid for Chelsea star Mason Mount – Reports
Manchester United have reportedly submitted a 3rd offer to sign Mason Mount from Chelsea this summer.
Erik ten Hag is keen on bolstering his midfield and sees Mount as the perfect addition to his squad. The Red Devils have been trying to agree a deal with the Stamford Bridge side but have not managed to on a fee.
As per Fabrizio Romano, they have now submitted a bid in excess of £55 million – their 3rd bid for the Englishman.
Manchester United had a £45 million bid rejected earlier this month, and they returned with a £50 million offer earlier this week. Chelsea rejected both offers as they wanted £65 million for their 2-time Player of the Season winner.
Mount has set his sights on a move to Old Trafford and is not signing a new deal at Stamford Bridge. He has just 12 months remaining on his current contract and has agreed terms with Manchester United.
Daily Mail report this week suggested that the Englishman has a 5-year contract ready at Old Trafford with £200,000 in weekly wages.
Ten Hag’s side are not planning to submit another bid for Mount, as per Romano. The Red Devils believe the current offer is good enough for them to land the 24-year-old.Â
