Manchester United eye two attacking players next summer
Man Utd Rumours: Manchester United are keen on signing Jadon Sancho and James Maddison next summer according to ESPN. They report that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is eyeing them as he plans to build a team around young and exciting British talents at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils spent around £150 million in the summer of 2019 to get Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James. All three are highly rated and were a target for several other Premier League clubs.
Manchester United are in desperate need of attacking players as they have just a handful left in that department. Romelu Lukaku was sold to Inter Milan in the summer while Alexis Sanchez joined him there on loan for the season. Both players are yet to be replaced.
Our sources at United indicated that there was interest in Sancho during the summer as well but the player was not willing to move. He has just found his feet at Borussia Dortmund and was not willing to switch clubs. United are expected to be back in the race for him with a bid of around £80 million next summer.
Red Devils were also linked Maddison but that was neither confirmed nor denied by anyone at both clubs. ESPN report that United are keen on signing him next summer and expect the deal to be done for £70-80 million.
As per our sources at Manchester United, Solskjaer is also keen on signing two other exciting talents. RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner and Bayer Leverkusen’s Kai Havertz will be the club’s top targets in January.
