Liverpool agree deal with Bayern Munich for Thiago Alcantara

Liverpool have agreed a deal with Bayern Munich for Thiago Alcantara, as per The Atheltic. The Reds have agreed to pay around €30 million for the Spaniard as per the report.

Thiago had already made it clear to Bayern Munich that he wanted to leave the club. The Spaniard was close to signing a new deal with the Bundesliga champions but then changed his mind.

Bayern Munich have been opening discussing the possibility of selling Thiago this summer and slapped a €30 million price tag on him. They were ready to sell him to any club that was matching their asking price.

Manchester United and Barcelona were also linked with the Bayern Munich star but Liverpool were always the front runners. However, the move was in the balance as reports suggested that Liverpool were unwilling to match the asking price.

Dominic King of the Daily Mail has added that the moving is not linked with another player’s departure from the club. Georginio Wijnaldum has been linked with a move to Barcelona this summer and reports suggest that the Catalan club are in talks with him and Liverpool.
