Liverpool suffer injury blow against Norwich City
Liverpool‘s season has gotten off to a bittersweet start as Alisson went off injured in the opening game of the Premier League season against Norwich City on Friday. The Reds won 4-1 thanks to goals from Salah, Origi, Van Dijk and an own goal by Hanley.
The Brazilian goalkeeper slipped when taking a goal-kick and hurt his leg. He immediately signalled for treatment and was taken off in the 39th minute of the game.
Adrian, who joined on a free transfer on Monday replaced him in goal. The Spaniard was signed after Simon Mignolet decided to leave the club to join Club Brugge. Adrian was a free agent after he was released by West Ham United at the end of the last season.

Jurgen Klopp was asked about the injury after the win and he revealed it was something to do with Alisson’s calf. The Reds manager has ruled him out of the UEFA Super Cup final against Chelsea on Wednesday.
He said: โThe Ali situation is madness. It’s a calf injury. He felt as if something hit him from the back. He will not be ready for Wednesday, I can say that alreadyโ
