Liverpool enter race to sign Chelsea target – Reports
Liverpool are reportedly considering a move for Chelsea target Moises Caicedo this summer.
Jurgen Klopp is aware of interest in his midfielders from Saudi Arabian clubs. He is open to letting Jordan Henderson and Fabinho but wants replacements signed.Â
A report on talkSPORT now suggests that Caicedo will be the player they target this summer, despite the £100 million price tag by Brighton & Hove Albion.Â
Chelsea have been in talks with Brighton for the last few weeks but have not agreed a deal just yet. The two clubs have been locked in discussions with The Sportzine sources reporting that the payment structure is the most significant issue in negotiations rather than the fees.Â
Liverpool are now looking to enter the race and make a move for Caicedo. The Reds had backed out of the move for Jude Bellingham earlier this year as the fee demanded by Borussia Dortmund was just over the asking price set by Brighton.Â
Klopp wants midfielders added this summer and has already secured two signings – Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton and Dominik Szoboszlai from RB Leipzig.
Reports suggest Brighton & Hove Albion want over £100 million for their prized asset this summer. Caicedo was keen on leaving in January following interest from Arsenal and Chelsea and had even handed in a transfer request.Â
