Leeds United set deadline for Barcelona to submit final bid for Chelsea target
Leeds United have set Barcelona a deadline of Thursday to submit their final offer for Raphinha. The Premier League side are looking to sort the transfer of the Brazilian swiftly to focus on their next targets.
As per @JacobsBen, Barcelona are not close to agreeing a deal with Leeds United. The Yorkshire side want any side interested in matching the offer on their table by Chelsea, something they have accepted.
The Blues are yet to hear from Raphinha but are willing to wait for the time being. Thomas Tuchel’s side hijacked the move from Arsenal after the Gunners were close to agreeing terms with Leeds.
However, they have not been able to get the deal over the line, as the Brazilian’s first choice remains to be a move to Barcelona.
The Catalan side have freed up their wage bill to accommodate Franck Kessié and Andreas Christensen but are still looking to raise funds for their next targets.
Robert Lewandowski remains their top target, with Jules Kounde said to be the 2nd preferred signing of Xavi.
