Jose Mourinho set for stunning Real Madrid return
Jose Mourinho is set to return as Real Madrid’s interim manager according to Goal. The Portuguese manager is without a club after his sacking by Manchester United in December.
The former Madrid manager will replace Santiago Solari, who is now set to be sacked at Bernabeu. Los Blancos have been knocked out of Copa Del Rey and Champions League in the last one week and Florentino Perez has decided to let go of him.
Goal report that Florentino Perez and Jose Angel Sanchez had a four-hour long meeting this afternoon to discuss the current situation. They finally decided to hire Mourinho until the end of the season and hope to convince Zidane to come back in the summer.
Los Blancos are desperate to have their former manager back as he won 3 back-to-back Champions League titles with them in 2.5 years at the club. The Frenchman is also without a club since leaving Bernabeu in the summer but has been heavily linked with Juventus.
Rumour Ratings: 5/10
Goal aren’t a highly reliable source but given the circumstances, they might just be spot on. The Spanish side need a change in manager and with Mourinho available, they might make the most of it.
However, it is odd to see Jose accept an interim role given that he is still one of the best managers in the world right now.
