Fulham owners respond to Gerard Pique rumours
Fulham have been linked with a stunning move for Gerard Pique this summer. The Barcelona star has been made available for transfer and the newly-promoted Premier League side were linked with a move.
Gerard Pique is also reportedly open to leaving the Catalan club this summer. He offered to step aside if the club need him to after the humiliating 8-2 loss to Bayern Munich.
Fulham owner, Tony Khan has rebuffed the rumour on Twitter. The American, who also owns All Elite Wrestling, has simply replied with a ‘false’ to a tweet reporting the Pique rumour.
Barcelona are looking to revamp their squad this summer and Gerard Pique is among the players who have been made available for transfer. The Spaniard is not a part of the core group mentioned by club president, Joseph Bartomeu.
Reports suggested that Fulham were keen on bringing in the experienced defender, who also have Premier League experience. Gerard Pique played for Manchester United before moving back to Barcelona.
Fulham spent big the last time they got promoted as well but could not avoid the drop back into the Championship straight away.
