Frank Lampard wants to ‘fresh up’ Chelsea’s squad in the summer
Frank Lampard has hinted that Chelsea will be making a couple of big signings this summer. The manager has said that the Blues are looking to freshen up the squad after failing to sign players in January.
The Chelsea legend was talking to the club’s official website when he said he was excited to work with the squad he has now. However, he wants to add players in the right areas and always said that he needs players to make things better at Stamford Bridge.
I’m certainly excited about the squad we’ve got, with the young players and if we can get a few additions for areas I feel we need. We didn’t bring in anyone in January, it didn’t work out to be right for us at the time, and last summer we couldn’t bring anyone in, so those windows are gone and we haven’t changed. So I am excited about the squad we’ve got, if we can freshen up in the right areas we all know that.

Chelsea have already signed Hakim Ziyech from Ajax and he will be joining the squad soon. His time at Ajax came to an abrupt end as Eredivisie was declared void because of the Coronavirus outbreak.
The Blues are now looking to add more players to the squad. Jadon Sancho and Timo Werner are the top targets right now and will be going all out to sign both.
Alex Telles, Nicolas Tagliafico and Jude Bellingham are the other targets right now.
