Five Chelsea players ruled out of FA Cup clash against Plymouth
Thomas Tuchel has confirmed five Chelsea players will not be a part of the squad for their FA Cup clash against Plymouth. Ben Chilwell and Reece James are injured, along with Ruben Loftus-Cheek, while Thiago Silva and Christian Pulisic return tired from International duty.
Chilwell has been ruled out for the season following his ACL injury, but Reece was expected to be back this weekend. However, he has suffered a minor setback and is also set to miss the Club World Cup.
“Not Reece James or Ben Chilwell unfortunately. There is no Ruben Loftus-Cheek either. They are still injured, everybody else was in training except Christian Pulisic and Thiago Silva. Everybody else was there, we’ve had a good training week.”

The good news for the Blues is the return of all other players who were out injured. All players have had a week’s break from football and should be fresh for the FA Cup tie.
Chelsea face Plymouth in one of the early kick-offs on Saturday. The Blues travel to Abu Dhabi for the Club World Cup just hours after the game.
Their first match is set for 9th February with either Al-Hilal or Al Jazira as their opponents in the semi-final.
