RB Salzburg confirm Erling Halland is in talks with 2 Bundesliga sides
Erling Halland is in demand after a stunning debut season in the UEFA Champions League. The Austrian side have not managed to make it into the next round but have qualified for the Europa League Round of 32.
The striker is a target for several top clubs including Manchester United and Juventus. However, the Norwegian has visited two Bundesliga clubs today.
RB Salzburg have confirmed that Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig are interested in signing Halland and have held talks with him. It’s very likely that the two sides have also agreed a fee with the Austrian club for the striker.
The Guardian have reported that Manchester United and Juventus have refused to give up on the 19-year-old and will make a move for him. There were reports last month that his father, Alf-Inge Håland, had visited Manchester United’s training ground.
Liverpool were also interested in signing the striker but they have now all-but-sealed a deal for Takumi Minano instead. The striker has a £7.25M release clause and the Reds have reportedly decided to activate it.
