Chelsea star set for Inter Milan move
Chelsea rumours: Olivier Giroud is set to join Inter Milan reports L’Equipe. The striker is close to agreeing personal terms with the Serie A side as per the report.
The former Arsenal striker is out of contract in the summer and is free to start holding talks with clubs for a move in the summer. However, with the striker not getting game time under Frank Lampard, he is desperate to move with EURO 2020 coming up in the summer.
Antonio Conte is said to be a big fan of the striker and has asked Inter to sign him. The manager was the one who brought him to Chelsea as well. They won the FA Cup together before the manager was sacked by the club.
Inter Milan have Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez playing upfront right now but the manager wants another striker added to his squad. Conte is said to be desperate for a new striker in the winter transfer window and with Giroud available for cheap, he has opted for him.
Chelsea have had their transfer ban reduced and are free to sign players in January. Thus, they are unlikely to stand the Frenchman’s way unless they fail to agree a fee for a replacement or with Inter Milan.
