Chelsea youngster signs new deal until 2024
Chelsea news: Fikayo Tomori has signed a new deal at Chelsea until 2024. The young defender made his debut this season under Frank Lampard and has been impressive.
Tomori spent the last season at Derby Count under Lampard and was a player the Blues fans were excited about. Though most of the talk was about Mason Mount, the defender stole the show and awards at the Championship club.
On signing his new deal until the summer of 2024, Tomori told Chelsea’s official website: โIt’s obviously a very proud moment for myself and my family. I’ve been at the club since I was seven years old so I don’t really know much else other than Chelsea.โ
โThe club has been so good to me, looking after and developing me during that time into the player and the person I am today. It’s a dream come true to sign a new five-year contract. I’m really happy the club have shown this faith in me and I’m just excited to carry onโ added the defender.
With the deal for Tomori secured, Chelsea are working on new deals for Tammy Abraham and Reece James. The talks with the two began in August but have still not been finalized.
