Chelsea star admits he wants LaLiga move
Chelsea news: Willy Caballero has confirmed that he wants to move to Spain at the end of this season. The goalkeeper’s contract at Stamford Bridge expires at the end of the season.
The Argentine was signed by Chelsea after he was released by Manchester City. He has been their 2nd choice keeper eve since and has been brilliant every time he was called on to play.
Talking AS, Caballero admitted that he was looking for a move back to Spain next summer. “I end the contract at the end of the season and we’ll see what happens in the future,” he said.

“I do not have to return to Argentina because I feel more like a European player. Here I came very young and I left my country at 22. I would like to return to Spain. Elche or Malaga? Of course, but it’s not just about what you want, it’s about [the clubs] wanting you and giving you the circumstances.”
“At the moment, I’m a Chelsea player and will see what happens in June” he added. It is very likely that Chelsea would offer him a new deal as he is easily one of the best backup keepers right now.
If Caballero does not sign the new deal, Chelsea could turn to their U23 keeper, Jamie Cumming, or sign an experienced keeper like Ben Foster, who put on a stellar display against them, next summer.
