CHELSEA LOAN OUT NATHAN DE SOUZA

Clube de Futebol Os Belenenses (aka Belenenses) have confirmed the signing of Nathan de Souza on loan from Chelsea. The 21-year-old Brazilian is an attacking midfielder who can also play as a second striker and a left winger.

The youngster was sent on loan to Ligue 1 side, Amiens at the start of the season but was recalled after making just 9 appearances for the French side. The Blues were unhappy with the time he was given on the pitch and were keen on getting him a move where he can play more regularly.

Belenenses – who are 11th in the Primeira Liga – have offered him the chance to play regularly as they look to finish in the top half of the table. He will become the 34th player to be sent out on loan by The Blues this season.

Nathan was signed by Chelsea in 2015 from the Brazilian side, Atletico Paranaense. He was signed for a reported fee of £4.5 million – half of which has been recouped by Chelsea from his loan moves ever since.
