Chelsea launch bid to sign Russian talent
Chelsea have reportedly sent a bid to sign Arsen Zacharyan from Dynamo Moscow. The 19-year-old, who has 4 caps with the Russian national team, is the latest in the club’s list of targets this summer.Â
As per Di Marzio, Chelsea are working with agent Rafaela Pimenta to sign Zacharyan. The youngster predominantly plays as a central midfielder but has been used on both the wings too by Dynamo.
The midfielder has made over 50 appearances for the Russian side and scored 13 times while assisting 16 in all competitions. He has made a good start to the 2022/23 campaign as well, with a goal and two assists in five matches.Â
As per TransferMarkt, the teenager has played 37 matches in his career, including appearances for Dynamo 2 Moscow, Akademia Dynamo Moscow and Dynamo Moscow II, at the heart of the midfield. The central position seems to be his strongest as he has scored 15 goals and assisted 18 times while playing in this role.
The youngster has also operated as an attacking midfielder in 11 matches, 20 games as a left-sided midfielder, 15 on the right, and used as a defensive midfielder once.
Chelsea have already signed Carney Chukwuemeka from Aston Villa this summer to bolster their midfield. The teenager is yet to make his debut for the club at the senior level.Â
