Chelsea ‘interested in activating €25M clause’ of Premier League star
Chelsea are reportedly leading the race to sign Leeds United‘s Raphinha this summer. The Blues have registered their interest in the Brazilian but face some tough competition.
As per a report by Gianluigi Longari in Football Transfers, the winger has a €25 million (£20 million) release clause if Leeds United get relegated.
Thomas Tuchel’s side have reportedly been alerted by it and have now set sights on signing him.
However, Chelsea are not the only side to have shown interest in the winger, with reports suggesting Bayern Munich are in the loop.
The Bundesliga champions were touted to sign the winger in January, but claims of a £50 million deal in Brazil did not materialize.
Leeds have been struggling this season, but Raphinha has been their lone bright spark. Injuries have been a big issue for Marcelo Bielsa’s side, and that has left them just 5 points above the relegation zone.
