Brighton & Hove 1-2 Manchester United – Player Ratings

Manchester United have their first win of the season after edging out Brighton and Hove Albion at the AmEx Stadium. The Red Devils managed a 3-2 win after going behind in the first half.

Bruno Fernandes’ foul on Tariq Lamptey saw the home side get a penalty in the 40th minute. Neal Maupay stepped up and made no mistake as he chipped the ball in to give Brighton the lead. The panenka left David de Gea clueless as the ball hit the back of the net right in the centre.

The lead didn’t last long as Lewis Dunk’s own goal saw Manchester United level things up. A free-kick from Bruno Fernandes found Nemanja Matic unmarked at the far post and his ball in hit the Brighton defender and went in.

Marcus Rashford kept his calm after a brilliant through-ball by Bruno Fernandes found him clear on goal. The Englishman played around with the Brighton defenders and slotted the ball in to make it 2-1.

Solly March made it 2-2 in the 95th minute of the game but a rush of blood from Neal Maupay saw the red Devils getting a penalty straight after kick-off! Fernandes stepped up and make it 3-2 with the last kick of the match.
