Bayern Munich make €60M bid for Chelsea target
BAYERN MUNICH EYE LEON BAILEY
Bayern Munich have set sights on signing Leon Bailey as per ESPN Sources. The report claims that the Bundesliga champions are willing to shell out €60 million to get the Jamaican winger.
Bayer Leverkusen, however, value him way higher than that and are not willing to sell him for that amount. The report says that Bailey is valued around €100 million by the German club.
ESPN also say that there is interest from Real Madrid and that is why Leverkusen are delaying the deal. Chelsea were linked with him in the January transfer window.
The Blues were keen on signing him and then loaning him out for rest of the season but the move was rebuffed by Leverkusen. Chelsea saw him as a long-term replacement for Willian.
Bailey was signed for €13.5m buy from Belgium side KRC Genk in January 2017. He has been in stunning form in the Bundesliga ever since and that’s caught the eye of the European giants.
