Chelsea star offered to Barcelona but Catalan side are not interested – Reports
Chelsea midfielder Jorginho was reportedly offered to Barcelona earlier this month. The Italian’s contract at Stamford Bridge is running out at the end of the season, and he can sign a pre-contract with clubs from January 1st.
As per Radio Marca’s Luis Rojo, Jorginho was the latest Chelsea player to be offered to Barcelona. However, the Catalan side are not interested in the Italian as the do not see him fit for Xavi’s system.
The midfielder’s contract at Stamford Bridge has entered its final few months, and he is yet to put pen to a new deal. The Chelsea vice-captain will be free to sign a pre-contract with any side from January 1st if the club do not agree a deal with him.
Juventus and Inter Milan are also keeping tabs on the situation and were interested in signing him during the summer. However, Thomas Tuchel was keen on keeping the Italian, and the new board agreed not to sell him.
With Tuchel sacked, things could change for the Italian and he could leave the club on a free transfer, like Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen did at the end of last season.
