Barcelona set to make €50 million offer for Chelsea target
The summer transfer window is coming soon and Barcelona seem to be facing it head on. They have already agreed to the signing of Frenkie De Jong and are aggressively pursuing Matthijs De Ligt.
And now, according to The Guardian, they are set to make a €50 million offer for Frankfurt star Luka Jovic.
The forward is on loan from Benfica at Frankfurt, where he is having a tremendous season, scoring 15 goals from 24 Bundesliga games. Frankfurt have already confirmed that they are set to make his move permanent.
As a result, Barcelona are willing to make a €50 million offer to the German outfit to acquire the services of the man they deem as the perfect successor to Luis Suarez. They have watched him in Frankfurt’s last game against Inter and now hope to star negotiations for him.
Barcelona are not the only side chasing him as reports suggest that Chelsea are also keeping close tabs on him. Manchester City and PSG are also keen on signing him.
Rumour rating: 9/10
Guardian rumours are usually pretty accurate and given that Barca are not pursuing him covertly, it makes sense to believe this story to be true.
