Grisly details on how Arsenal sacked Unai Emery
Arsenal Rumours: Arsenal have finally announced the sacking of Unai Emery and now details of when the decision was made are making rounds. The reports suggest that the board made the decision today morning and informed the manager after he took charge of the first training session today.
David Ornstein has revealed that Unai Emery was preparing his squad to face Norwich City this weekend when he was delivered the news. Raul Sanllehi broke the news to the players and informed them of Freddie Ljungberg taking over for the time being.
Ornsteri’s tweet read: “Emery unaware of his fate when he led a final session this morning – prepared team for Norwich, expected to be in charge. But players were gathered afterwards as head of football Raul Sanllehi delivered news of Emery exit + Freddie Ljungberg installation on a temporary basis”
Arsenal fans were desperate to see the back of their manager after the tactics were redundant and ineffective. The Gunners were winless in their last 7 matches in all competitions and are in abysmal form.
The manager took charge of the club in May 2018 after he let go by PSG. Arsene Wenger had just left Arsenal and the Gunners pounced on the former Sevilla manager despite being linked with the likes of Mikel Arteta and Max Allegri.
