Arsenal eye former Chelsea manager
Arsenal rumours: Carlo Ancelotti has emerged as a candidate for the Arsenal managerial job according to Di Marzio. The Italian journalist reports that the former Chelsea manager will be sacked as the Napoli manager soon.
Our sources reported yesterday that Marcelinho, Mikel Arteta, and Niko Kovac were the top candidates to replace Unai Emery. The Arsenal manager was sacked on November 29th following a poor run of results.
Ancelotti has Premier League experience and is one of the best managers ever. The Italian won the league with Chelsea in 2009/10 and his side played some amazing football.
That is exactly what Arsenal fans and the board want at their club. Ancelotti was also linked with Arsenal when Wenger was leaving the club but he did not take up the job.
Carlo was also linked with Manchester United when Sir Alex Ferguson was leaving but he turned it down for Real Madrid. Now, a return to the Premier League is very likely as Napoli are set to sack him and Arsenal on the hunt for a world-class manager.
