“It is sad” – Petr Cech comments on Chelsea’s situation and urges players to find a solution
Petr Cech has admitted that it is sad to see Chelsea in the position they are in this season. He believes that the squad can pull through and hopes that one positive result can see them turn the corner.
Chelsea are struggling this season and are currently 12th in the table – 9 points away from the bottom three. They are still within an outside chance of getting relegated but will need a lot of things to go against them.
The Blues are winless in their last seven league matches and have picked up just two points from those games. They have had three different managers during that time, with Frank Lampard currently in charge and yet to collect a point from his 4 league games.
Cech left his role at Chelsea earlier this season and was at the Premier League Hall of Fame even when he was asked to comment on the situation of his former club.
Petr Cech said:
“First, I have to say, obviously it is sad to see the club in the position in the table as they are. But you know, there’s a, there’s a lot of experience players and which obviously experience difficult moments in their careers like that. So, I hope that they’ll try and get together with the players, they can find the solution for the next coming games and sometimes you just need one – one win, one – one positive result, to turn the corner so hopefully they will achieve that.”
Chelsea are looking to appoint Mauricio Pochettino as their new manager and could seal the deal this month.
