Arsenal want to hold talks with Chelsea target ahead of summer move – Reports
Mikel Arteta reportedly wants to hold talks with Chelsea target Declan Rice to try and convince him to join Arsenal. West Ham United are willing to sell their prized asset this summer and are open to offers.
As per a report in the Daily Mirror, Rice is set to be the one to keep an eye on this summer as a transfer tug-of-war is set to take place.
Chelsea and Arsenal are set to go head-to-head for the midfielder, with both sides willing to match the asking price.
Arteta wants to try him best and is ready to hold talks with Rice to explain his project and plans for the 24-year-old. The Gunners see him as the ideal long-term successor for Granit Xhaka and are keen on sign him.
Chelsea have been chasing Rice for over two years, but have not managed to get a deal over the line. They are waiting for the season to end to start thinking about the summer window.
Mauricio Pochettino is set to takeover at Stamford Bridge and could have the final say in the transfers.
