Chelsea block loan exit for youngster
Chelsea have reportedly decided to keep Trevoh Chalobah at the club this season. Thomas Tuchel has made a U-turn on his decision to loan out the defender.
As per Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea will be keeping Chalobah despite putting him in the loan list earlier this month. The journalist claims there was interest from both Milan clubs and RB Leipzig in the Englishman.
Chalobah made his debut last season, but was set to be loaned out despite impressive displays. The Blues have signed Kalidou Koulibaly, and a deal for Wesley Fofana has been agreed too.
The youngster made his first start this season against Leicester City on Saturday and impressed. Chelsea won the game 2-1, with Raheem Sterling scoring twice before Harvey Barnes pulled one back for the Foxes.
The Blues also managed to keep hold of Cesar Azpilicueta, who was on the Barcelona radar. The Spaniard confirmed he wanted to switch after winning it all at Stamford Bridge, but has signed a new deal instead.
