“I want to play more” – Chelsea star sends message to Thomas Tuchel
Kepa Arrizabalaga has confirmed he will hold talks with Thomas Tuchel regarding his future at Chelsea. The Spaniard wants to play more than he did last season and that will be made clear to the manager.
Speaking to Marca, Kepa revealed he is happy at Chelsea and leaving would not be a easy choice. However, he needs to start playing more and wishes to do it at Stamford Bridge.
He is open to leaving as well, but only if Tuchel cannot promise him more game time.
Confirming that he will sit down for talks with the German manager, Kepa said:
โI’m at a very big club. I will talk to the coach and we will decide, but with the clear message that I want to play more!โ
Lazio, managed by former Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri, have reportedly shown interest in the goalkeeper. Newcastle United were also linked but they have snapped up Nick Pope from Burnley.
Chelsea are in talks to sign Chicago Fire goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina and have interest in Thomas Strakosha too.
