Zlatan Ibrahimovic suffers snapped Achilles tendon
Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s career is in trouble after suffering a snapped Achilles tendon in AC Milan training today. Sky Sports Italia via Daily Mail report that the striker went down after having a shot at goal today.
The injury level is still unknown but Marca and Sky Italia add that he could be out for a long time. The Swede was back in training as the league is reportedly set to return in June.
Zlatan joined AC Milan on a free transfer in January and signed a deal until the end of the season with an optional year. He had left LA Galaxy after his contract expired at the end of the MLS season.
SportMediaset journalist Pietro Balzano Prota reported the striker and said it could be a long term injury. He tweeted: ‘Bad injury for Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Medical tests are expected but it could be a long stop.’
Daily Mail are reporting that Milan could opt to not extend the contract because of the injury.
