Sources: Inter Milan and Juventus eye Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri
Inter Milan and Juventus have made enquiries about signing Emerson Palmieri as per our sources at Chelsea. The two Serie A side have been keen on signing him for over a year but Frank Lampard delayed the sale because he was not getting a replacement.
Chelsea are opening to selling Palmieri in the summer and will be replacing him with Alex Telles or Ben Chilwell. The Blues are already in advanced talks with FC Porto and had made a move for him in January itself.
The same was done for Chilwell as well but Leicester City rebuffed the talks and asked Chelsea to wait until the summer. The halt in talks saw Chelsea shift more focus on getting Alex Telles and it is expected to be concluded before the season ends.
As for Palmieri, he is open to moving back to Italy and was looking to move in January as well as per reports. He has fallen down the pecking order at Chelsea with Lampard preferring Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso over him in the left-back slot.
