Michael Owen calls Manchester United star ‘a better goal scorer’ than Marcus Rashford
Man Utd news: Michael Owen was on the pre-match show ahead of Manchester United‘s match against Newcastle United. The former English striker made a huge claim and said that Mason greenwood is a better goal scorer than Marcus Rashford in the Red Devils’ squad.
Owen was full of praises for the youngster and claimed that he will a United player in the long run. He believes that the striker has what it takes to reach the heights of Rashford. He said:
He’s obviously a very talented player. Me and Scholesy have seen his progression through the youth ranks. I think it’s fair to say he’s a proper player. He’s going to be a Manchester United player for the long run. He’s a very good goal scorer – at his age, naturally a better goal scorer than Marcus Rashford. Time will tell again whether he goes on reaches the heights of Rashford.
Rashford is just 22-years-old and has already established himself as the top player at United. He is the one leading their charge this season and is their top scorer.
The Englishman made his debut under Louis Van Gaal and has not looked back ever since. More than anything, he has stepped up in the big games and scored against all of the top 6 in his career already.
Mason Greenwood is slowly getting there but is yet to show that he can lead the charge like Rashford.
