Real Madrid star rejects a move to Arsenal
Arsenal rumours: James Rodriguez came into the spotlight in 2014 World Cup for Colombia and in the same summer, he earned his dream move to Real Madrid, where he was given the No.10 jersey as well.
Things haven’t gone as per plan for him as he was only a starter for the club for under Carlo Ancelloti and Rafa Benitez. Under Zinedine Zidane, he has been a bit-part player and his two-year loan spell at Bayern Munich has not helped his case.
This season he has struggled with injuries and he was linked with a move away from the Bernabeu. Now, Spanish outlet Marca is reporting that the former Porto midfielder has rejected a move to Arsenal.
The Gunners wanted to sign Rodriguez in the January transfer window but he is not interested in a move away from Real Madrid.
The Colombian star wants to win the confidence of Zinedine Zidane and force his way back into the starting line up of the Los Blancos. Other Premier League teams Arsenal and Chelsea have also expressed interest in him in the past.
James is currently recovering from an injury he picked up during the international break a few weeks ago and it is still unknown when he will return.
