Zinedine Zidane unruffled by sacking rumours
Real Madrid news: Zinedine Zidane was in the news this week for the wrong reasons following Los Blancos’ 3-0 loss to PSG. The Real Madrid manager was the heart of a lot of sacking rumours but he has revealed that the reports have not ruffled him.
Talking to the media ahead of Madrid’s match vs Sevilla, Zidane revealed that he is strong and is not thinking about leaving. He also made it clear that the only thing on his mind is winning the match next match.
“If I read the press, it says I’m gone. I feel strong. I have learned to never back down and to keep working until the very last moment,” he said.
He continued, “I’m not thinking about leaving. I’m only thinking of winning tomorrow. You are here to speak, and you do it well. The difficulties that they speak of on the outside are something we can’t control.”
Despite Zidane’s claims that he is unruffled with the sacking rumours, sources at the club have told Nitwik Football that the management is looking for a replacement. Massimiliano Allegri is the top target as per the same source.
ESPN and Marca have also reported that the manager is under pressure at Bernabeu. Jose Mourinho and Xabi Alonso have been linked by the media outlets for Los Blancos job.
