Juventus decide Gonzalo Higuain’s future
Gonzalo Higuain has played for 3 clubs in the last one year and it looks like none of them want him to be at the club next season. AC Milan have Krzysztof Piฤ tek while Chelsea have decided not to extend his loan or sign him on a permanent basis.
With Maurizio Sarri heading to Juventus this summer, it looked like the Argentine was going to get another chance at the Turin side. However, reports in Italy now suggest that the Old Lady are not keen on keeping him at the club.
The Bianconeri have reportedly informed the incoming manager about their decision and have also asked the player’s agent to start looking for clubs interested in signing him. Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Juve are not looking to loan him out any more and want to sell him off this summer.
AS Roma are reportedly interested in signing him this summer but are yet to make a move. They have just appointed Paulo Fonseca and are willing to give the new manager the final say in the transfer.
Rumour Ratings: 7/10
Chelsea are clearly not interested in signing Higuain and that would have been their decision even if Sarri was to stay. The Argentine just did not manage to settle in well in the Premier League and failed to impress.
As for Juventus, they already have Cristiano Ronaldo and Mario Mandzukic fighting for the spot and they are unlikely to welcome Higuain back at the club even if Sarri is their new manager.
