Serie A side eye Maurizio Sarri if Chelsea sack their manager
Maurizio Sarri’s time at Chelsea is still in the balance as a large number of fans want the manager sacked this summer. The Blues are still in the race to finish in the top 4 and are also in the Europa League semi-final.
However, the โSarriBallโ that the fans were keen on watching at Stamford Bridge is yet to arrive and the fans are not happy with the type of football being played. It’s been just 9 months since Sarri arrived at Chelsea but he remains as the bookies favourite to be the next Premier League manager sacked.
Good news for Sarri, however, is that he might not stay unemployed for a long time. Reports in Evening Standard claim that AC Milan are keeping tabs on him.
The San Siro side are 5th in the Serie A table right now โ 2 points behind AS Roma in 4th. Milan are tied on points with Torino and Atalanta with the latter having a game in hand.
Reports suggest that Milan will sack Gennaro Gattuso if they fail to make it to the Champions League next season. Former Chelsea manager, Antoinio Conte has also been linked with the job but Sarri is said to be their #1 target.
Rumour Ratings: 6/10
Sarri knows the Serie A well and almost won the title with Napoli last season. The manager can work wonders if he is backed properly and Milan are ready to take him back to Italy.
