Jose Mourinho’s time at Manchester United seems to be coming to an end. The manager is just not able to get the results for the Red Devils, and the fans are starting to turn against him. [hide] next Manchester United manager [/hide]
The former Chelsea manager has a ‘3rd season syndrome’, and it seems to be getting to him yet again. Jose has left the club or been sacked in the 3rd season 3 times before and this season might make it 4.

For United now, it is ideal to find a suitable replacement for him. Someone who can stabilise things at Old Trafford and bring the Premier League back to the red side of Manchester.

Here are three managers Ed Woodward should be looking at:

#3 โ€“ Zinedine Zidane [hide] next Manchester United manager [/hide]

After leaving Real Madrid in the summer, Zidane is still without a job. There are reports that he is set to become a director at Juventus, but nothing has materialised yet.

United should not waste their time and make a move for him as soon as possible. If they wait, the Frenchman might just head to Turin or take the chance at another big club.

He’s got everything in him to win and his three Champions League titles at Real Madrid in 2.5 seasons should be the perfect example. He can bring the best out of Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial as well. [hide] next Manchester United manager [/hide]

#2 โ€“ Massimiliano Allegri

Should Juve snap up Zidane, United’s next choice has to be Massimiliano Allegri. The Italian would be the ideal one to bring some exciting football back to Old Trafford and can get the fans backing the squad again.

Allegri has proved it time and again at Juventus that he can win the league and that is exactly what Manchester United need right now. The league title, more than anything else, needs to come back to Old Trafford for the fans and the players.ย

#1 โ€“ Maurizio Pochetinno [hide] next Manchester United manager [/hide]

Pochetinno might have not won a trophy in his career but he has shown that he can work wonders with a good squad. He has made Spurs a Champions League side from a team that used to linger around Top 4.

Chelsea took their chance and gave the job to Maurizio Sarri, a manager who has not won a single title in the top flight. Time for United to do the same soon?

It will be very difficult for United to lure him to Old Trafford right now but if they do, it’ll be the best appointment since Sir Alex Ferguson. Pochetinno can rebuild the team and take them to the top once again with the right resources.

He has shown it at Tottenham that he is not a chequebook manager and can bring out the best of the squad he has with him. Isn’t that exactly what Ed Woodward and the Glazers need?

Who do you think will be the next Manchester United manager?
