Paul Pogba, the Manchester United captain tonight, ran the show as they beat Leicester City to get their Premier League campaign off to a winning start.

United were given a huge boost when Daniel Amartey handled Alexis Sanchez’s deflected shot inside the box in the 2nd minute! Pogba stepped up and scored past Kasper Schmeichel with ease.

Leicester were dominating the game from then and were knocking on the door several times. But just when things seems to be finally going the Foxes way, Luke Shaw then scored the first senior goal of his career and gave United some breathing space.

Jamie Vardy, who came on as a second-half substitute, scored in the injury time to keep their hopes alive but it proved to be too little too late.
